SVG to Image

Convert static SVG files or source code to PNG, JPG, or WebP with custom dimensions and backgrounds.

How to use

Convert static SVG files or source code to PNG, JPG, or WebP with custom dimensions and backgrounds.

Steps

  1. Choose an SVG file, drag it in, or paste SVG into the source field. You can also load the example first.
  2. Choose 1×, 2×, or 4× scale, or enter output width and height. Lock the aspect ratio if needed.
  3. Choose the output format and a transparent background or background color. Adjust quality for JPG or WebP exports.
  4. Start conversion, check the output preview and dimensions, then download the image. Convert again after changing the source code or output settings.

Supported formats

Input an SVG file or SVG source code and export PNG, JPG, or WebP. PNG and WebP support transparent backgrounds. JPG uses the selected background color.

Files and privacy

SVG source checks, previews, conversion, and downloads all run in your current browser. Source files are never uploaded to the server. External resource references are rejected; use internal SVG references or embedded bitmap images.

Limitations

  • Process one SVG at a time. The file or source code must be no larger than 5 MB. Each output edge is limited to 8192 pixels and the total to 16 million pixels. Your device may have lower limits.
  • Only static, self-contained SVGs are supported. Scripts, event handlers, animation, embedded web content in foreignObject, and external images, styles, or fonts are not supported.
  • Text uses fonts available on your device. Convert text to outlines in your design software first if you need an exact appearance.
  • Enlarging bitmap images embedded in an SVG does not recover detail. If usable dimensions are missing, the tool temporarily uses 512 × 512. Check your output dimensions.

Frequently asked questions

Why are external resource references rejected?

The tool only processes static, self-contained SVGs. Embed external images as bitmap data, use internal #references, and remove external styles, fonts, and scripts before converting.

How do I export a transparent background?

Choose PNG or WebP and enable Transparent background. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas use the selected background color.

Why does text look different from my design?

SVG text uses fonts available on the current device. Its appearance may change if the original font is missing. Convert text to outlines first when you need a consistent appearance.
