Image Converter
Convert JPG, PNG, and WebP in batches, preview results, and download images or a ZIP. Transparent areas become white in JPG files.
How to use
Convert JPG, PNG, and WebP in batches, preview results, and download images or a ZIP. Transparent areas become white in JPG files.
Steps
- Choose or drag in JPG, PNG, or WebP images. You can add multiple images at once.
- Choose JPG, PNG, or WebP as the output format. You can choose image quality when exporting JPG or WebP.
- Convert all images or process them individually in the list. Changing the format or quality clears previous results, so you must process them again.
- Preview the converted images, download an individual result, or download multiple results as a ZIP.
Supported formats
JPG (JPEG), PNG, and WebP are supported for input and output. Multiple results can be downloaded as a ZIP. PNG and WebP can preserve transparency; JPG uses a white background.
Files and privacy
Images are read, processed, and packaged locally in your browser. They are never uploaded to the server.
Limitations
- Each source image must be no larger than 20 MB. Other formats, including GIF and HEIC, cannot be converted on this page.
- JPG does not support transparency. Transparent areas become white; choose PNG or WebP to keep a transparent background.
- JPG and WebP quality settings may reduce detail. PNG does not use quality presets. Changing formats is not guaranteed to reduce file size.
- If an image is already in the target format, the original file is provided without re-encoding. Quality settings do not apply to that file.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a transparent background become white in JPG?
JPG does not support transparency. This tool fills the canvas with white before drawing the image. Export PNG or WebP to preserve transparent areas.
What does “Already in this format” mean?
The source image already uses the selected output format. The tool offers the original file for download, keeping its size and image content unchanged.
Why is there no quality setting for PNG?
This tool only passes a quality parameter to the JPG and WebP encoders. PNG export does not use that parameter. Use Image Compressor to reduce image dimensions.
